Heaven on earth.

Amazing place, just beyond any imagination. Hospitality is Awsome, food is great, people are full of love and warmth. To reach this place you have to trek for 3kms from Khajjiar.

Trek is inside the jungle and in beautiful surroundings of pine trees. Mr. Shankar is an awesome host. Sunil and Sonu are all-rounder. This village consists of 12 families and to get even a matchbox you have to walk for a km or more.

There are several treks from that place as small as 30 minutes and big as you can walk. 360 view of snow-clad mountains, birds chirping, the bark of foxes, and changing shades of nature every minute, we haven't expected anything more

Mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the place and warmth of the people The mystical beauty unfolds in front of your eyes in Not on Map Mystic Village. The trek of 2 KM's through the huge trees rewards you in every sense once you reach the place. The trek itself with the cool breeze touching you and your senses keep your feet moving towards the goal. This is community living in its truest sense. A small village and its people have tied up with Not On Map to provide alternative sustainable livelihood as well as an opportunity for people like me and you to experience this kind of living. The accommodation is basic with clean washrooms outside the room ..actually truly speaking the whole mountains are your accommodation. The hosts Shankar, Anup, Madan and so many people from the village are very welcoming. The food is simple, healthy and tasty. The view is spectacular...J&K, Spiti(Pir-Panjal), Dhauladhar mountain ranges with their snow-capped peaks right in front of your eyes....a visual feast ...the icing on the cake being the huge Deodar trees providing the lush green view. This is a must-visit...my only regret I was there for only one night. Definitely plan to come back with a few more friends

Amazing experience! Definitely recommend! Our stay at Mystic Village was incredible! The location is like no other you can see how the locals live and at the same time weak up with a panoramic view of the Himalaya. The staff is unbelievably nice and helpful. They took care of us as if we were family staying over. It was such a good experience and I definitely recommend it

IDEAL PLACE TO RELAX AND UNWIND IN NATURES LAP The concept of holiday varies from people to people but if one wants to just relax in a peaceful place in natures lap with very minimal modern and artificial infrastructure/ gadgets interference then this is one of the best places in Chamba region. None of the hotels or homestays in Khajjiar and Dalhousie can replace the natural beauty of this place. You will not get the typical 5star like artificial modern infrastructure but the natures best you get. Staff hospitality is good. Always ready to serve you good tasty homely food anytime. Wether you are a solo traveler or with family and kids everyone will like this place. There is a lot to learn for children from this place which they will never see in a city. There is a river and water fall through the H2o house. I used take bath everyday in the river it was very refreshing. Everywhere there were variety of fruit trees, farm fields maize plants. There is 24 hrs soothing music of waterfall, birds chirping which is the best place for meditation and mind healing. It’s advisable to stay in the garden or along the river during day time and go to the room only for sleeping. Vikas can entertain you with his music on guitar in evening. One can go for short trekking to the mountains and village tour with the staff. Had stayed here for 4 days with my family and parents and will definitely come back again for a longer stay.

Excellent stay. Picture perfect, clean rooms. It’s like staying in a village with sound of gushing water around. A watermill runs in the place, worth a visit as it’s soon going to be a thing of the past. The host, Mr Vikas, is a kind and jovial person. He drove 6/7 km at midnight to guide us to his place as the place lives upto it’s reputation of ‘notonmap’. The food was freshly prepared, served hot, good and homely. Hot breakfast was served in the rooms and the helper did not hesitate to make numerous trips to the kitchen inspite of the cold. The answer to anything we needed was ‘yes’. In the evening, they lit up a bon-fire too. Do not expect a regular commercial place stay. Away from the hustle and bustle of the Chamba town. It’s a comfortable, peaceful place. You will love it and go back with the wish to visit again.

True to its name 'The Lost Escape’ is that one place where you would want to get lost on purpose. Located right next to the Jibhi River and inbetween lush green forests, this place is a km trek away from the main road and quiet secluded from main Jibhi. A wonderful place if you are looking to unwind and relax while you contemplate life. If you have time, I would suggest take a dip in the natural pool nearby. Go for a village walk and try local food over there :) Both Sayan and Aashish are a great host. They did everything to make me feel at home. The cook 'Rajesh’ is amazing, you MUST try his dry chicken if you are non-vegetarian. And, the maid 'Maina ji’ is one of the sweetest person you will meet. Rooms are old-school mud and rustic to keep you comfy enough in the chilly nights. All rooms and tents have lovely view of the river and valley. Washrooms are shared, that a might be a negative for some people.

Hello to the great team,

We are back from Himachal Pradesh with a bag full of beautiful memories. It was our first wedding anniversary and we spent our days in Rafi's house Chamba. We are very overwhelmed with the ideology that "NotOnMap" is carrying and as sensible travelers, we support that. Just thought to say thank you for all the experiences. Also, thanks to the people who talked to us on the phone call, it was very welcoming. We are excited to plan our next trip with you!
