PROPERTY OVERVIEW

Be it ascending a peak, or reaching a destination in the mountains, there is a sense of tranquility associated with that journey. And the same experience has been recreated at our ‘Mountain View Abode’, which is a humble homestay in Manoti village, near Joshimath. It is a 400-year-old house built in the Vernacular style of Architecture. Dating back to the legends, the property was the first house that was built in the village- all the other houses were built uphill. All the people in Manoti village are related, and make one big ‘’Rana’ family. Surrounded by lush green trees, and vegetable farms, nestled between the mountains, the property was used as a summer house by the owners.

STAY

Mountain View Abode is located near Manoti, Auli. The homestay has 3 rooms which give basic amenities and a shared common washroom outside the room as per the local tradition and cultures of the family.

FOOD

Organic Veg/Non-Veg Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are available at the homestay.

Or waking up to the sounds of birds chirping, in a cozy warm blanket? Then the lesser-known Manoti is just the place. The earthy, homely vibe will help you reconnect with yourself. Be it meditating in the fresh air, taking a long walk with your loved one, or getting your creative juices flowing, the place has something in store for everyone! As Mark Obmascik says, “I like the mountains because they make me feel small. They help me sort out what’s important in life.”
The homestay has a humble appearance and camouflages with the other houses around, but is designed for the basic urban needs. Ranaji also encourages the guests to accompany him to the field, learn about the local vegetables and cooking techniques.
