Homestays like the Barahbheesh Villa are an experience in themselves. One can spend a whole day relaxing in
the lap of nature, in the old wooden structure. Once you get enough of it, one can go to treks around
the village – like the Kuppad trek, Giriganga trek, the trek to Mural, and the famous Chanchal trek. All
these are one-day treks, about 3 km each, taking you to peaks through diverse mountainous
landscapes. Other experiences for the travelers could be assisting the hosts in learning the rural way of
living – their agricultural practices, milking the cows and learning more about their lifestyle along the
way. Such places serve as a good break from the hectic schedules of our daily lives – and teach us so
much about some new cultures at the same time! There is a village temple, where one is allowed to visit
till the porch only. Fishing can also be arranged for, on-demand. There is the cultivation of Apples,
‘Parsiman’ (Japanese Apples), Plums, Apricots, Cherries, Peaches. Pulses, corn, Jowar, Bajra, and Organic
vegetables (almost all). As the host rightly puts it, one can never get enough of the place!
