Kausani homestay offers a totally relaxing and homely stay – a spectacular 180 degree view of the Himalayas, more so during the Golden hours – sunrise & sunset.
A 70 years old cottage, which is a blend of the traditional Kumaoni & British style of architecture. It was home, for Swami Anand, for more than half his lifetime. Swami Anand, an industrialist and philanthropist from Gujarat and a contemporary of Mahatma Gandhi, who had renounced the worldly life, was instrumental for Mahatma Gandhi’s visit to Kausani. With the Swami also stayed the IAS, grand-daughter of Mahatma Gandhi.
This cottage also housed the world-renowned journalist and intellectual, Late Mr. Nikhil Chakravorty.
