About Project:

We collaborated with the Himachal Pradesh government to provide proper logistical support, infrastructure, accommodations and transport facilities to all the members and participants during the session of the tournament. We took this as an opportunity to promote community based responsible and sustainable rural tourism. The accommodations provided by us were homestays established in and around community villages of Dharamshala and are mainly made of sustainable local resources. This helped to promote and preserve the local and ethnic socio-cultural experiences of Dharamshala. This also helped in increasing the livelihood of the community members involved.

Impact Created:

- Around 200 community members related to homestay accommodations impacted economically with this project

- Around 85 community members related to the transport industry impacted economically

- Promotion of rural and sustainable tourism among 200+ members and participants of the tournament

- Preservation of unique socio-cultural heritage of Dharamshala
